Welcome to the Columbus Ohio IPMS Modelers Website
Welcome
to the website of the Columbus, Ohio, Eddie Rickenbacker chapter of
IPMS. We as a club are dedicated to the promotion of the hobby of
scale modeling. Our meetings feature modeling subjects and programs
covering all areas and genres of the hobby. Our meetings are open
to visitors (see the meetings page for directions and maps) and feature
a monthly contest. We have approximately 50 members, with widely ranging interests and skills. For a list of members follow the link at the foot of this page. We enjoy all aspects of scale modeling, and invite anyone to join us at our monthly meetings, where we exchange modeling tips, information, kit reviews, and general fellowship. Blizzardcon 2012Blizcon 2012 is now over, and what a day it was. Another beautiful sunny day drew a happy and boisterous crowds. It was certainly packed from very early on and there were many great models on display. There were a total of 543 models in competition and a big congratulations goes to Don Roberts for his USS Nimitz diorama which was selected as best of show. For a complete list of winners, click here. Within the next few days I will be uploading the offical competion photos, so keep checking back. So a big thank you to all who attended and see you next year. Blizcon 2013 will be here before we know it. The date is set for February 16th, 2013, so mark your calendars. It will be a special year as it will be the 40th Anniversary of our first show. So as usual there will be the regular array of great models, lots of vendors, a raffle and lots of fun but many new special events as well. For details on how to get there, click here.
